Salmon Burgers

 

The essentials

Ingredients 

  • 4 fillets of salmon
  • 1 egg
  • 50g ground almonds
  • 1 tbsp tamari
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tsp ground coriander
  • Salt and pepper

Serves 4

Method 

Preheat the oven to 180°

Place all the ingredients into a food processor and blend until all the ingredients are combined thoroughly.

Place a piece of tin foil on a baking tray and grease with a little bit of coconut oil.

To make the burgers wet your hands and make even sized burger shapes with the salmon mixture and place them on the greased tray. The mixture should make 4 large burgers or 6-8 smaller ones.

Place in the oven for 12 minutes until cooked through.

 

A little bit extra

Salmon is a great oily fish. The Omega-3 fatty acids that you get from salmon can’t be created in your body, so you have to get them from food or supplements, so salmon is a great source for that. These fatty acids are great for our overall physical health, but most importantly they are helpful for our mental health too!

Serve it with a portion of our sweet potato fries and some veggies of your choice.
