Raw Brownies

 

The essentials

Ingredients

  • 150g hazelnuts
  • 70g medjool dates (stone removed and chopped up)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 3 tbsp cacao powder
  • 70g raspberries

 

Method

Blitz the hazelnuts until finely ground. Add the cacao powder and Blitz until mixed together. Slowly add the water until mostly combined then add the dates, vanilla essence and maple syrup.
Once all combined transfer into a bowl and stir through the raspberries. Add the mixture into ice cube trays and put in the fridge for approx 3-4 hours.

 

 

A little bit extra

For a warm (not raw) brownie, add 3 more tablespoons of water so the mixture is more liquid. Place a tablespoon of the mixture into cupcake holders and place into a pre-heated oven (160°) for approximately 15 minutes. The outer layer should be hard and the inside will be gooey. Enjoy that!
