Fish Fingers
The essentials:
Ingredients:
- 400g fish of choice (we use 200g salmon and 200g cod)
- 1 egg
- 150g ground almonds
- 50g Aldi’s Milled Linseed, Gojiberries, Sunflower & Pumpkin Seeds
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp turmeric
- 1 tbsp dill
- Salt and pepper
Serves 4
Method:
Cut the fish into finger chunks
Preheat the oven to 180°. Whisk the egg in a bowl. Pour the ground almonds and Aldi’s Milled Linseed, Gojiberries, Sunflower & Pumpkin Seeds onto a plate and mix in the paprika, turmeric, dill and salt and pepper.
Dip each piece of fish into the egg and cover fully. Then place each piece of fish into the dry mixture one at a time and ensure all sides are covered.
Place the covered pieces of fish onto a greased baking tray. Cook in the oven for 20 minutes, until the fish is cooked through.
A little bit extra:
Linseeds (also known as flax seeds) are a great source of Omega 3. One of the best benefits of flax seeds is that they are high in fibre, which as we know is vital for our digestive system. Just 3 tablespoons of flax seeds have about 1/3 of our recommended daily intake of fibre. A much more natural, healthy way of getting things going than over the counter medicines!!
